Biography

The year is 2012 and a band named “Not even Third” was making quite an impression on college and University goers in the Canadian city Windsor, Ontario.  Playing covers every week at some of their favourite bars.   Unfortunately just before  Brian, Justin and Drew hit the studio to record a few original songs their bass player left the band.

Fast forward a few months later when Brian and Justin were hanging out with Brian cousin Michael.  Michael plays bass.  A few pints later Michael was in the band.  Drew eventually found out.  It was then decided that a new brand should be made.  The goal was to record original music and take this gig serious.  “Ravenscode” was formed.  After recording a 3 song EP things started to pick up.  Luckily the old band had a good following so playing shows in Windsor always had a good crowd.

It was a year later in 2013 that Ravenscode recorded the rest of their songs for their debut album “District of Broken Hope”. Things started happening for the band.  They reached out to “The Walking Dead” artist Charlie Adlard (who is also in a band) and asked if he could a) Listen to their music before it was released.  and b) do the artwork for the cover.  Within 24 hours a concept drawing was presented and the band was drooling over it.

Once Ravenscode released the album it caught the attention of local and international media.  They would do many television spots and the album would be reviewed by hundreds of bloggers.  This was enough to kick them in the butt and do a tour.  They made some merchandise and hit the road. Ravenscode’s chemistry on and off stage will make the night you see them the best night of your life; full of laughter, tears of joy and inspiration.  After almost a month of touring and selling thousands of albums they noticed that hundred of people would take their music and create fan made videos, some with lyrics and some without.   This is when the online promotion took over.
